Jayke's First Day

Jayke's first day at his new school in Florida. He's doing really well making friends. We are so proud of him. His been such a good sport with all the changes as a result of the move. Although he wasn't very cooperative for this picture. He refused to smile.

Summer

Some recent pictures of the family passing time this summer. We spend a lot of time at Grammy and Gramps house swimming. Jayke's doing really well and we think he'll be swimming on his own by this time next year. We also took a cruise in my Dad's 52 Corvette. By the way, it's for sale......

What I found in Jayke's bed one morning. These were all scattered about under the covers. I know he loves reading, but that cannot be comfortable!

Vacation

We went to Florida on vacation in April. Jayke had a blast. This was his first time seeing the ocean. He still thinks it's a big bathtub. He was a little hesitant to go in a first but then he was laughing a jumping waves. We spent time visiting family and friends. Matt's sister and her husband have a boat so we all went fishing one of the days. Jayke thought that was so much fun. I've posted a video of him dancing to the music with a little encouragement from Aunt Jeni. There's some cellphone interference in the beginning of the video. We also went to Jungle Island in Miami. Jayke just loved feeding the parrots. So much we had to buy him a stuffed blue Macaw.

Easter Morning

Jayke had a good time hunting eggs and opening his Easter basket. I think the chocolate bunny was his favorite. We had to do the egg hunt inside because it was too cold and rainy outside.

Jayke and Mommy took a trip to the zoo with some friends. Jayke had so much fun. His favorite was the male Lion. I think the roar scared him at first, but then that's all he talked about until bedtime. He even thought it was funny to scare Daddy with a roar.

Christmas

When Jayke says "coffee" it sounds like "Poppy". It's very interesting because that's what Marcia calls her grandfather.

Jayke's Haircut

Jayke got a buzz recently. He didn't like it very much.

But he looked cute afterwards and seemed to really like it then. Yes, that is a bald spot that was there to begin with, so no Mommy did not make it.
